BPR Field Reporters Brooke and Tessie covered the FIDM Debut Fashion Show for us at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on February 27th. The event was extra-special this year because in celebration of Barbie's 50th Anniversary, graduating students were invited to create designs just for her. Life-sized Barbie models walked the runway in fabulous original designs. These designs will travel around the world as Barbie continues to celebrate her big year.
A very special surprise feature of this event was a design by Project Runway's Nick Verreos. Nick's Barbie design has been made into an actual doll that we will be able to purchase!
