It seems like the longest week off ever, but Project Runway finally returns tonight with a new episode. The big question: how many will show at the finale this Friday? The picture will hopefully clear up after tonight's rowdy challenge.

BPR regular The Quiet One will be pinch hitting for Tbone on the play-by-play and the party room will be in full swing. Make sure to check in afterwards and tell us what you think in our reactions post.

Amanda has been very busy at Fashion Week - here is her report from NYC.

Hi there BPRs!

I am in NY with elite and things are going really well! The first job I booked here was a Saks Fifth Avenue website video shoot! The girl with me is Rayna who was one of the two stylists that day!


Then I did a presentation for Nicole Romano. A presentation is a showing of a collection where the models just stand there like mannequins for about 2 hours while people have cocktails. No runway walkin' here! It's a little tiring...

On Sunday February 3, Elisa Jimenez invited friends and press to Touch for her show, “The Hunger World.” This was, as expected, a unique contribution to Fashion Week. The program describes it better than I can: “The Hunger World is a pseudo-fictitous world I began working with as an artistic and philosophical foundation some 18 years ago via the making of video, marionettes, writing, drawing, painting, sculpture, performance and installation. Fashion introduced itself to the Hunger World, accidentally and on purpose in 1994…Welcome them as you would aspects of yourselves, fragmented, symbolized, embodied, mythified, evolved and evolving, nourishing and nurtured, hungry and fed, devoured and devouring.”

Project Runway Auction Winners

Ever wonder what happens to the challenge garments after they are auctioned? Well, sometimes they actually fit the winning bidder and are worn! We recently received these photos from a reader.

The first is April M looking fabulous with her daughter, Mary Catherine at the Miss America pageant! April won Rami Kashou's winning design from the premiere.

Fashion Week Begins!

This is a big day in NYC as Fashion Week kicks off, and Project Runway is right in the thick of it.

Did you know it is National Wear Red Day? Heidi Klum is helping kick off American Heart Month this morning as a runway model for the Red Dress Collection 2008, part of The Heart Truth awareness campaign for women about heart disease.

Victorya Hong didn't let her recent auffing prevent her from debuting her very own Fall 2008 collection tonight at The Altman Building. Check out this interview with her PR rep on the challenges of putting this show together. BPR has a couple of ace field reporters on hand for this show - stay tuned!

Tune in to Zulema Griffin's MySpace Sunday, February 3rd beginning at 9:00 a.m. as she shows her collection online. We think this is a great idea and expect to see more of it in the future.

On an unrelated note, we noticed that there is call out for stand ins at Parsons to help set up the Project Runway studio. Now what might be going on there? Hmmmm.....
