The Dahl runway show at the Prince George Ballroom* will begin at 1pm, this Thursday September 6th. Doors open at 12pm and a reception will be held in the front gallery prior to the runway show.
Following the Dahl runway show is Silhouette, a fashion competition which is introduced by me. I will be available backstage immediately after my runway show and my guests are not required to remain seated for the competition. In fact, you are urged to come back and say hello.
Looking forward,
Alison
*The Prince George Ballroom is located at 15 East 27th Street, between Fifth and Madison Avenues

Tim Gunn raids a Newsweek art director's closet and answers some questions here. Don't miss the video!
Tim Gunn makes the LA Times SmartList for this week. They say that he's "80% of the reason we watch Project Runway." Maybe BPR is the other 20%? (Of course we're kidding!)
Veronica Webb tells the Detroit Free Press that she clicked with Tim "like Mary Ann and the professor or Nanny and the professor." Tim also is featured in the Free Press where, not surprisingly, he finds Crocs appalling and he wants a certain senator/presidential candidate to "step it up a notch."
Laura Bennett tells Newsweek that she's got a price in mind for her 'Snoopy on the Runway' gown that will be auctioned on eBay to benefit Dress for Success.
Finally, Andrae Gonzalo and Nick Verreos got a mention in The Seattle Times 'Girl About Town' column this week. I just have one question: What's a disco pig?

NBC Universal, the parent company of Bravo, has announced that they are severing their ties with Apple iTunes. NBC failed to renew their contract yesterday which could mean that their content will disappear from the iTunes store at the end of the year. Apple retaliated by stating that no new NBC content would be added as of this September. The following is a statement that appeared today in The Hollywood Reporter:
Apple said that instead of having the network pull its shows in December in the middle of the TV season, it would, instead, not offer them when they debut next month. An Apple spokesman said NBC Uni content from past seasons would stay on iTunes until the current contract runs out.
The NBC spokesman, though, said that the network is "hopeful" that an agreement can be worked out before the contract expires.
Meanwhile, NBC Universal is looking to debut a new site, Hulu, that presumably will offer downloads with the increased pricing/packaging flexibility they have desired. We'll have to 'watch what happens' when it comes to Project Runway Season 4 appearing on iTunes or Hulu.
As of today you can still download Project Runway Season Two and Season Three from iTunes at the old price by clicking here.

Dedicated Project Runway fans will appreciate the Season One Marathon today on Bravo. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. with 'Innovation,' the first Emmy-nominated episode, and concluding with the 'The Runway' at 6:00 p.m. (all times are Eastern), our favorite network has only excluded the Reunion in this airing. Don't miss one of my personal favorite episodes, the Postal Uniform Challenge at 4:00 p.m.; this was my intro to Project Runway and, needless to say, I became a PR addict.

First, here is a great Tim Gunn story from the Advocate. Yes, Tim is bestowing a blessing on the author in the photo above...
Although I have read many articles and interviews about Tim Gunn somehow I have managed to miss any reference to his salary at Liz Claiborne. This one reveals it.
Hmmmmmm..... Somehow I am very skeptical of that number.
UPDATE: My Wall Street expert checked the 2007 proxy statement for Liz Claiborne and noted that the CEO of the company makes $900,000. It is highly unlikely that Tim makes the amount quoted in the article.
Speaking of Tim, he is still on the schedule for an appearance on September 30th at the Baltimore Book Festival.
Our friends at Buddy TV have a great feature about Nina Garcia and her new book.
Here is an article about the Seattle "La Mode" event with Nick Verreos and Andrae Gonzalo.
