so- some more exciting news... i will be working for catherine malandrino on her fashion show for fashion week! i am so happy i don't know what to do with myself. it all happened after we shot the today show.
another crazy happy thing: i got invited to the aol style lounge, right across the way from nbc, and got a ton of free stuff. and not just "stuff"- great stuff! shoes, accessories, alcohol, jewelry, t-shirts, hair products.
anyhow- can't wait to meet you guys!

"Models, This is a Competition for You, Too"

Those are the words that Heidi says to the models when they are standing on the runway wearing those black slips.

We've had eight episodes and only half of them have featured all of the remaining models (the first, third, fifth and sixth). At the beginning of the 'Iconic Statement' episode, two models were eliminated by the luck of the draw. We've had a model selection this week only to find that the designers themselves would be walking the catwalk. Then we see a preview in which the designers are in Paris and other ladies are wearing the gowns.

Does this really feel like a competition for the models this year?

BPR welcomes back auf'd contestant Katherine Gerdes for her exclusive insider's take on each week's episode:

A “makeover” challenge! I’ve been waiting for one of these. I love to see how the designers would dress themselves or each other (season 2!). I don’t know about other designers, but for me, I have the hardest time dressing myself compared to dressing other people! I’ve been wanting to make something for me to wear to the final runway show, so I’ve decided that this week of my “AUF’d Runway” I’ll make my “jet-setting” outfit the one that I’ll wear to at OFW! Well… unless it totally sucks…

I do have to say that I loved the concept of making them travel to test the outfits, but I think it was pretty crappy to fly them out there, only to send someone home the very next day! I know it makes for some dramatic TV, but that sucks. Oh well. I’m also sad that I didn’t stick around long enough to make it out to Paris, but I think it would have been worse to be the very last one out (Robert) right before they left!

Trayce was fortunate enough to win this Barbie on eBay. Apparently the seller fashioned a Barbie-sized replica of Robert's "Wall-to-Wall" challenge dress....which totally should have won!

Apparently, this is not unusual - Maryann spotted this one on eBay as well...look familiar?

Fleurchon..er Fleurchamps Sighting

I think this should be a new feature on BPR. So many of you are sending us "fluerchon sightings" that it has become just about impossible to keep track of them all. So, the next time you spot a fleurchon (Feel free to use creative spelling - or just say "Angela's Signature Rosettes") please include a description of the sighting and a link to a photo or send the photo itself, put "Fleurchon Sighting" in the subject line and send it to Team BPR.

At this point telling us "Portia diRossi's dress had a fleurchon on it" doesn't help. Where was she? What event? When? Include a photo. We will try to have a regular feature called "Fleurchon Sightings" every week. What do you think? Also, we would like to see NEW photos, not something that Jean-Paul Gaultier did in 1996.

ETA: We have a ruling: The yoyo is "Angela's signature rosette." The larger gathered flowers found on the hem of the Hepburn dress are identified as the "fleurchons." We are waiting to hear from Angela on the official spelling. BOTH of these will qualify as "Fleurchon Sightings." Extra points for correct identification.
